Abnormal circuit breaker operation in substations often requires rapid identification of mechanical faults. Field O&M personnel frequently encounter problems such as unclear opening/closing coil current waveforms, inaccurate time parameter measurement, and cumbersome wiring for testing different circuit breaker models. The HDKC-9000 circuit breaker mechanical characteristics tester is designed to address these common issues and help O&M personnel complete on-site testing.
When testing opening/closing time and synchronism, traditional methods require multiple instruments to work together, resulting in complex wiring and susceptibility to interference. This tester has built-in multiple independent timing channels that can simultaneously acquire contact action times, reducing manual reading errors. For coil current waveforms, the device provides high-speed sampling to record current rising edges and peaks, facilitating judgment of core jamming or coil abnormalities. For different operating mechanisms, the instrument supports optional measurements such as closing resistors and graphite contacts to meet various on-site requirements.
The instrument housing adopts a reliable grounding design to prevent induced voltage from affecting equipment and personnel. The operating ambient temperature range is 0–40°C, and humidity does not exceed 85%, meeting the on-site conditions of most substations. The unit weighs approximately 10 kg and has dimensions of 210 mm (height), making it easy to carry and transport. The operation interface provides a Chinese menu and guided wiring prompts to reduce the risk of misoperation.
During routine maintenance or after a fault, O&M personnel can use this tester to complete mechanical characteristic tests and obtain data such as opening/closing time, speed, travel, and coil current. Test results can be stored and exported for subsequent comparison and analysis. The device is suitable for on-site testing of circuit breakers with voltage levels from 10 kV to 500 kV, covering vacuum, SF6, and minimum-oil types.
