When purchasing personnel inquire about a switching characteristic tester, they usually first need to answer one question: what voltage level of circuit breaker is the object under test, and which signals need to be recorded. Taking the common 12-channel break measurement requirement as an example, a single switching operation can synchronously acquire parameters such as inherent opening/closing time, intra-phase and inter-phase asynchronism, closing/opening bounce time and count, and reclosing time (open-close-open). The KCT-8600 is configured for this usage scenario and is suitable for mechanical dynamic characteristic testing of various high-voltage circuit breakers within the 110kV voltage level.
The device synchronously acquires 12-channel break signals during a single opening or closing process, and outputs time parameters including the inherent opening time and inherent closing time of each break, as well as intra-phase asynchronism, inter-phase asynchronism, bounce time and bounce count; under reclosing conditions, the full open-close-open process time can be recorded. These data correspond to the routine record items for circuit breaker mechanical characteristics handover and preventive tests, and can be used during procurement to check the test item list of the station, avoiding payment for unused functions.
The main unit adopts a large-screen, wide-temperature, direct-view, backlit LCD screen, with all-Chinese display of data and graphs; the LCD contrast can be electronically adjusted, and memory is retained after power-off. For purchasing personnel, this means the device can still read data outdoors under strong light or low-temperature environments, reducing the possibility of rework due to screen problems; the Chinese interface also lowers the training cost for users.
It is recommended to check in three steps: first, confirm the voltage level and number of breaks of the circuit breaker under test; within 110kV and within 12 breaks is the applicable range of this unit; second, confirm whether the test items include reclosing time measurement, and if so, pay attention to the open-close-open sequence recording capability; third, confirm the on-site power supply and portability conditions, and evaluate the team's usage habits in combination with the screen and operation method. After these three items are determined, compare the quotation and after-sales response, and the selection judgment can basically be finalized.
For occasions exceeding the 110kV voltage level, with more than 12 breaks, or requiring special parameters other than the travel-time curve, the corresponding configuration should be checked separately. Before procurement, submitting the equipment ledger and test outline of the object under test to the supplier for confirmation is more reliable than supplementing the configuration afterward.
