According to the DL/T 987 standard, the full current, resistive current, and harmonic components of a zinc oxide arrester under operating voltage are important indicators for judging its insulation status. Field operation and maintenance personnel often face the problem that arresters and discharge tubes need to be tested separately, and the instruments are complicated, which increases tool management and training costs.
When the interior of the arrester is damp or the valve discs age, the change in full current is not obvious, while the increase in resistive current is significant. If only simple instruments are used for measurement, it is difficult to capture early defects. In addition, the trigger voltage and response time of the discharge tube require separate equipment, causing the operation and maintenance team to carry multiple instruments.
The YHX-9000 integrates arrester and discharge tube testing functions and can measure full current, resistive current, harmonic components, and discharge tube DC breakdown voltage. Measurement range: full current 0~20mA, resistive current 0~10mA, resolution 0.1μA; discharge tube voltage 0~2000V, accuracy ±2%. It is powered by a lithium battery, supports continuous operation for 8 hours, and has an anti-power-frequency interference algorithm.
When purchasing, it is recommended to pay attention to: whether the measurement range covers the expected maximum leakage current; whether the resolution can distinguish small changes in resistive current; whether the power supply method adapts to field environments without a power source; and whether the anti-interference capability meets the conditions of strong electromagnetic fields in substations. In addition, the instrument should have data storage and export functions to facilitate trend analysis.
It is suitable for regular inspection and status assessment of substations, transmission line towers, distribution arresters, and discharge tubes of lightning protection components, helping operation and maintenance personnel promptly discover hidden dangers such as damp insulation and aging valve discs.
