According to DL/T 596 "Preventive Test Code for Electric Power Equipment" requirements for circuit breaker mechanical characteristics, the measurement error of parameters such as opening and closing time, speed, travel, and synchronism must be controlled within ±0.5%. The DRK-8000 Circuit Breaker Mechanical Characteristics Tester integrates a computer, printer, measurement interface circuit, and operating power supply, and is suitable for performance testing of various high-voltage circuit breakers. The following lists key points from a maintenance perspective.
The instrument has a built-in DC 6–270V continuously adjustable power supply with a current of no less than 20A, which can meet the low-voltage operation test requirements of different circuit breakers. Before each use, confirm that the output voltage and current displays are normal to avoid unreliable opening and closing coil operation caused by abnormal power module conditions. After long-term disuse and before re-enabling, it is recommended to first perform a no-load trial run and observe whether voltage adjustment is smooth.
When measuring opening and closing time, speed, travel, bounce, and synchronism, the connection quality of the displacement sensor and fracture signal lines directly affects data accuracy. Before operation, check the aviation plug for looseness or oxidation; the sensor mounting bracket should be firm to avoid interference introduced by vibration. The shielding layer of the test line should be reliably grounded.
Avoid using the instrument near strong electromagnetic interference sources, such as high-power variable-frequency equipment or high-voltage busbars. Do not plug or unplug sensors during testing to prevent damage to the interface circuit. The instrument has a built-in printer; when replacing the paper roll, power must be cut off to avoid accidentally triggering print commands.
It is recommended to calibrate the time and speed channels once every 12 months. The storage environment should be kept dry and ventilated, with a temperature of -10°C to 50°C and humidity no greater than 85%RH. When not in use for a long time, power it on for inspection once every three months and recharge the built-in battery.
The instrument weighs about 7kg; avoid severe vibration and impact during handling. The packaging box should have shock-absorbing padding, and prevent rain exposure and inversion during transportation. If shell deformation or interface damage is found, stop using it and contact professional personnel for repair.
