During substation inspections, O&M personnel often encounter abnormal arrester counter operation or excessive leakage current, yet lack a basis for quick on-site judgment. The YHX-9800 zinc oxide arrester tester is designed for such scenarios, facilitating preliminary screening of arrester status by on-site personnel.
The instrument is suitable for periodic inspection and status assessment of arresters in substations, transmission line towers, and distribution systems, as well as discharge tubes of lightning protection components. During measurement, the range can be preset, and an audible alarm sounds when the range is exceeded, facilitating device grouping and verification. After testing, wait for the discharge lamp to light up or use a dedicated discharge rod for full discharge, and confirm there is no residual voltage before disconnecting the wiring.
The instrument can measure the DC reference voltage and leakage current of zinc oxide arresters, assisting in judging valve disc aging or insulation dampness. Technical parameters: output voltage continuously adjustable from 0 to 30 kV, current measurement range 0 to 1000 μA, accuracy ±1%. It features overcurrent protection and automatic discharge, adapting to on-site electromagnetic environments.
Testing in a de-energized state is recommended; before wiring, check that the arrester surface is clean and dry. Record ambient temperature and humidity during testing for lateral comparison with historical data. Abnormal values should be re-measured for confirmation and further diagnosed in conjunction with power-off tests.
