In preventive testing of high-voltage electrical equipment, partial discharge detection often faces challenges such as strong on-site electromagnetic interference and difficulty in signal identification. The PDL-8200 Partial Discharge Detector is designed for such operating conditions, providing a complete solution from signal acquisition to data analysis.
The instrument employs multi-band filtering and digital noise reduction technology to effectively suppress on-site corona and communication interference. A built-in pulse waveform recognition algorithm helps technicians distinguish internal discharge from external noise, reducing the probability of misjudgment. The test bandwidth covers 10kHz~1MHz, meeting the detection needs of most equipment.
The PDL-8200 is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen, supporting real-time waveform display and discharge pattern recording. It provides RS-232 and RS-485 communication interfaces, enabling parameters such as discharge amplitude, phase, and count to be uploaded to a backend system. Combined with PC software, trend charts can be generated for easy comparison of historical data.
To ensure detection accuracy, it is recommended to perform a self-check on the instrument every quarter and inspect the integrity of the shielding layer of the sensor connection cable. For long-term storage, place it in a dry environment to prevent moisture from affecting the insulation performance of high-voltage components. The battery pack adopts an intelligent three-stage charging mode: in the initial stage, constant current rapidly raises the voltage; upon reaching the upper limit, it switches to constant voltage with decreasing current; in the final stage, trickle float charging helps balance individual battery capacities and extend operating time.
Suitable for live partial discharge detection and online monitoring of high-voltage switchgear, transformers, GIS, and other equipment in substations, power plants, and large industrial and mining enterprises.
