On-site withstand voltage tests for 10kV and 35kV XLPE cables usually need to be carried out after cable laying or after a period of operation. The VLF-35A very low frequency withstand voltage test device outputs a frequency of 0.1Hz and can perform withstand voltage assessment on the main insulation of cables.
It is suitable for on-site withstand voltage tests of 10kV and 35kV XLPE cables in power departments and industrial and mining enterprises, and can also be used for insulation withstand voltage inspection of equipment such as generators and motors. The device capacity can meet the test requirements of 35kV cables not exceeding 2km in length or 10kV cables not exceeding 5km in length.
The output voltage peak is 35kV, and the load capacity is 0.5μF; the output frequency is 0.1Hz, and the frequency instability is ≤1%; the voltage waveform is a sine wave, and the distortion is ≤5%. The device has a built-in high-voltage voltage divider, which can display the output voltage peak and effective value in real time.
It adopts an integrated design, with clearly marked wiring terminals, and supports both manual voltage boosting and automatic voltage boosting modes. It has overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, and poor grounding alarm functions, and automatically cuts off the high-voltage output after the protection is activated.
When purchasing, the required capacity must be calculated according to the voltage level, length, and cross-sectional area of the cable under test, and it is necessary to confirm whether the on-site power supply conditions and the weight of the equipment are convenient for transportation.
