The WFX-5200 transformer winding deformation tester adopts a design combining the frequency response analysis method and the low-voltage short-circuit impedance method. Daily maintenance should focus on the integrity of test cables and interfaces. Before each use, check whether the clamps of the excitation and response channels are oxidized or loose, to avoid contact resistance affecting the consistency of the frequency response curve. The equipment storage environment should be kept dry and ventilated, avoiding high temperatures and strong electromagnetic interference. If not used for a long time, it is recommended to power on and preheat once every three months to maintain the stability of the internal circuit.
During on-site testing, ensure that the transformer is de-energized and reliably grounded, and remove all leads connected to the windings to avoid interference from external wiring on the frequency response characteristics. The sweep frequency range should cover 500Hz to 2000kHz, with focus on the shift of resonance frequency points and amplitude changes. During the test, try to keep the cable layout and grounding method consistent for each measurement to reduce systematic errors. For three-phase transformers, it is advisable to measure each phase separately and record the original data for longitudinal comparison.
The device integrates the frequency response analysis method (FRA) and the low-voltage short-circuit impedance method, which can comprehensively reflect the transformer winding characteristics and assist in analyzing winding deformation. The frequency response method sweep measurement range covers 0.5kHz to 1MHz, with 2000 sweep points; at 0.5kHz to 10kHz the resolution is 0.02kHz, at 10kHz to 100kHz the resolution is 0.2kHz, at 100kHz to 500kHz the resolution is 1kHz, and at 500kHz to 1000kHz the resolution is 1kHz. The low-voltage short-circuit impedance method can measure winding impedance changes, mutually corroborating with the frequency response method data.
Design and selection personnel should pay attention to whether the equipment supports data export, historical curve comparison, and automatic report generation functions. The WFX-5200 provides USB and network interfaces, making it convenient to archive test data to a management system. It is recommended to establish a transformer winding frequency response fingerprint database, conduct regular retesting and comparison, to improve the accuracy of condition assessment.
