According to standards such as GB/T 14549-1993 "Power Quality—Harmonics in Public Supply Network," grid parameter measurement has clear requirements for synchronization and completeness. Design and selection personnel should pay attention to whether the equipment supports synchronous acquisition of three-phase voltage and current signals, avoiding distortion in power and phase calculations caused by sampling timing deviations. The DR-8500 uses high-precision voltage probes and current sensors (clamp-on current transformers or Rogowski coils) for synchronous connection, and its internal high-speed ADC performs parallel conversion of multi-channel signals, ensuring consistency of sampling instants at the hardware level.
The connectors of clamp-on current transformers or Rogowski coils should be kept clean and dry, and the reliability of shielding layer grounding should be checked regularly. Before connection, confirm that the range matches the on-site current to avoid sensor saturation caused by overload. When installing a Rogowski coil, attention should be paid to the centered position of the conductor under test to reduce the influence of position error on harmonic components. After each use, it is recommended to visually inspect the probe cables and replace them promptly if damage is found.
The instrument uses a DSP processor to execute algorithms such as the fast Fourier transform (FFT), calculating RMS values, phase, power, and harmonic components in real time. During maintenance, the built-in standard signal source can be used for self-testing, comparing the display consistency of numerical values, waveform diagrams, spectrum diagrams, trend diagrams, and vector diagrams. Periodically verify power measurement deviation through known loads to ensure that algorithm parameters have not drifted.
The equipment should be stored in a dry, ventilated environment free of corrosive gases, avoiding severe vibration and impact. If not used for a long time, it is recommended to power it on once every three months to check whether the acquisition functions of each channel are normal. During transportation, original factory shockproof packaging must be used to prevent internal ADC boards and connectors from loosening.
